River of Time
Imagine history as a river. There is one source, invisible far back in the past. At some point this river splits into two distinct tributaries. One fork is an idyllic post-singularity universe. Life is valued for it’s beauty, and intellect. Energy is limitless and the god-like powers that be are serene and benevolent. From what is known of the other fork in the river of history, are images of violence, depravation and chaos. Both sides have developed the technology of time travel, but have little understanding of the context,
These two worlds have begun exploring the reaches of the past, and have become aware of each other.
